CPR and Basic First Aid Classes
CPR
Whether you need a certification from American Heart Association or just want to know what to do when someone around you suffers from a cardiac arrest, CPR classes are for you! Certification classes provide a card that is good for 2 years and I offer the American Heart Association Heartcode and Traditional Course. Non-certification classes can provide a certificate of completion and focus on what the learner wants to achieve.
Basic First Aid
Courses include American Heart Association First Aid that offers a completion card that is good for 2 years. If you are not in need of a certification card, First Aid classes are a great way to gain knowledge about what to do in a variety of medical and traumatic situations and focus on what the learner wants to achieve.
Self-Defense Classes
Self Defense for Active Shooter
This class explains in depth the “defend” portion of the Active Shooter Response. Learn simple steps that can be used to increase your chance of survival in the event you cannot avoid an active shooter event.
Tactical Medicine for Civilians
Learn the basics of how to treat a trauma victim prior to professional rescuers arriving. Using tourniquet, chest seals and wound packing, learn the basics of how to stop bleeding and increase the chance of survival. While based on treating gun shot wounds, these principles can help in any traumatic injury situation.
Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events
Based on the ALERRT organization class. Learn the basics of the human stress response, learn simple tools that can help mitigate stress in any kind of emergency, and learn strategies that can improve you chance of surviving an active threat attack.
Professional Communications De-escalation
In this class learn basic communication techniques about interacting with people who are upset or emotionally volatile or unstable.
Security Assessment
This assessment includes a complete walk-through of any area to assess possible shortcomings in safety and security. Discuss concerns and hear suggestions for improvements.
ACLS and PALS Classes
ACLS and PALS
If you need American Heart Association ACLS or PALS training I offer both the Heartcode and the Traditional class, both renewal and initial certification. Completions cards are issued and are good for 2 years.
